So, what are ‘heat logs’? Quite simply heat logs are machine manufactured logs made from a process of taking finely chopped raw material and pressing it together under high compression rates. Heat logs can be made from an extensive range of biomass raw materials such as peat, straw, paper and even leaves. However, our heat logs are made from compressed sawdust which have a high calorific value and hold their shape without the use of glue, chemicals or adhesives.
Heat logs have many advantages, first of all they are consistent in composition and quality with a moisture content of below 10%. They burn cleanly, slowly and in a controlled way providing maximum heat output making them ideal for stoves or an open fire.
Heat logs burn cleanly, slowly and are carbon dioxide neutral.
